Reimbursement

Aged Care Reimbursement.

Submit a reimbursement request for eligible aged care expenses.

If you’ve paid for a service or expense covered by your aged care package, you can claim it back here. You’ll need the original invoice or receipt and the date of the expense ready before you start.

Report an incident, near miss, or hazard.

Every report helps us maintain the safety and quality standards we’re registered to. If you’ve witnessed or experienced something that needs raising, please let us know — whether it’s urgent or just something worth noting.

What Home Care Package funds may cover — and what they usually don’t.

A plain-English guide to where your Home Care Package can and can’t be spent. Use it as a starting point, then talk to your Care Manager about your individual plan.

What HCP funds may cover

Services and equipment your package can typically be applied to, in line with the Support at Home programme.

  • Personal CareAssistance with showering, bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
  • Nursing & Clinical CareWound care, medication management, continence support, and palliative care.
  • Allied HealthPhysiotherapy, podiatry, occupational therapy, and speech pathology.
  • Domestic Assistance & CleaningHelp with cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
  • Home Maintenance & SafetyMinor repairs, safety-related maintenance, and assistive technology like grab rails or panic alarms.
  • Transport & Social SupportTransport to appointments or community activities, and companionship visits.
  • MealsPreparation of meals and assistance with nutrition (but not the cost of the raw ingredients themselves).

What is usually excluded

Costs that typically can’t be claimed against a Home Care Package, and are usually paid privately.

    General Living ExpensesRent, mortgage payments, utility bills, and standard groceries.
  • ×
    Medical CostsItems covered by Medicare, PBS, or private health insurance (e.g. prescriptions, GP visits).
  • ×
    Entertainment & LeisureTickets for events, club memberships (e.g. gym, RSL), or pay-TV services.
  • ×
    Holidays & TravelFlights, accommodation, and personal travel costs.
  • ×
    Major Home RenovationsStructural changes or upgrades that increase property value (e.g. new kitchen, painting).
  • ×
    Household AppliancesWhitegoods, electronics, and furniture — unless specially designed to address a care need.
  • ×
    Home Care Package FeesYour basic daily fee or income-tested care fee.
